About our Workshops
Alison runs relaxed and informal workshops in her dutch barn near Shaftesbury, Dorset, as well as at local venues - farm shops, open gardens for example or a suitable venue of your choice. Workshops are suitable for complete beginners, groups of friends, ‘away days’ and celebration parties.
A purpose built barn, there is plenty of space with individual workbenches and a break out area, for refreshments and delicious lunches! There is a Cornish Masonry Stove installed in the main workshop and an inside compost loo, which is not a rustic as you may believe! All areas are accessible by wheelchair users, although in wet weather, paths into the forest garden will be too boggy.
Workshops are anything from half day to two days, depending on size of sculptures and ambition of participants.

Additional Notes
Further details will be available at the time of booking, including opportunity to tell us about any needs, requests or preferences for anything from food to parking!
Willow work is hard on the hands, the thumbs in particular. If you are worried about having the strength to weave the rods of willow, please let me know. Help will be available. Hand cream will be also be freely available as you will be working with damp willow and using water sprays throughout the day.
